Coffee & Connect
Gather with friends and colleagues for coffee, lunch, or even Happy Hour. Reflect on why you chose this important work, and reconnect with your purpose.
Giveaway
Host a giveaway with items that promote infant mental health. Extend it over a period of time to engage more participants!
A Little Thank You
Brighten someone’s day with a small treat (coffee, chocolate, etc.) to thank those who care for or serve babies, young children, and their families. You can also create self-care baskets for friends, colleagues, or parents!
Lunch and Learn
Host a film viewing or a training session (virtual or in-person). Invite childcare providers, foster care staff, court staff, WIC teams, parent groups, pediatricians, and more! (See video ideas under the Resource Tab).
Story Time
Collaborate with your local library or bookstore to feature books about babies for the week. Plan live readings with librarians, authors, or community leaders. Try in-person events or Facebook Live!
Social Action
Contact your legislators via email, tweet, text, or in person. Share MI-AIMH’s message and an infographic to advocate for policies that prioritize babies and families in budgets.
OR
Interview an elected official on how they support babies and families, then share it on social media.
Social Media Blast
Host Facebook Live events—discuss an article on Infant Mental Health or highlight specific products like MI-AIMH Baby Stages Wheels.
Supportive Self-Care
Offer something self-care-focused, like a yoga or guided meditation session for participants to unwind.
Focus on the Importance of Fatherhood
Share videos or other content to highlight the critical role fathers play in the lives of babies and young children.
Video and Documentary Screenings
Host a virtual or in-person viewing party with an interactive discussion. Whether your group has 2 or 200 people, this is a fantastic way to Celebrate Babies!
