During Celebrate Babies Week, we are prioritizing Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) across key areas such as Policy, Family Engagement, Practice, Research, and Philanthropy. Our sponsoring organizations share a deep commitment to Equity and Inclusion, as we work towards ensuring that all families, particularly those from marginalized communities, have equitable access to relationship-based maternal, infant, and early childhood mental health services and support.
Each day this week, we will spotlight sponsoring organizations that have made significant contributions to advancing IECMH in their specific areas of focus:
Monday: Policy
We will highlight sponsoring organizations whose primary focus is advocating for policies that promote IECMH. These organizations work tirelessly to secure access to services, funding for early childhood programs, and essential family support.
Tuesday: Family Engagement
On Tuesday, we will showcase sponsoring organizations that prioritize family-centered approaches. These partners support parents and caregivers as the primary nurturers of their children, fostering strong, healthy relationships that are vital for early development.
Wednesday: Research
Wednesday’s focus will be on sponsoring organizations advancing the science of early childhood development and mental health. Their research underscores the importance of early experiences in shaping a child’s lifelong health and well-being.
Thursday: Practice
We will highlight sponsoring organizations whose work centers on supporting professionals who interact directly with young children and their families. These partners emphasize relationship-based care, trauma-informed practices, and the prevention of ACES and child abuse.
Friday: Workforce and Parent Development
Finally, we will close out the week by recognizing sponsoring organizations focused on Workforce and Parent Development. These groups are dedicated to training and building the capacity of both parents and professionals, creating stronger networks of support for babies and young children.
Our Champion Partners play a vital role in making Celebrate Babies Week a success by supporting the health and well-being of infants, young children, and families across Michigan. As a Champion Partner, you not only help amplify the importance of early childhood mental health during Celebrate Babies Week but also gain the opportunity to hilight your organization priority. Sponsorship of Celebrate Babies Week includes sponsorship in Infant Mental Health (IMH) Capitol Day, where you can connect with policymakers and advocate for systemic change.
