Our Champion Partners play a vital role in making Celebrate Babies Week a success by supporting the health and well-being of infants, young children, and families across Michigan.
About Our Champion Partners
Celebrate Babies Week lifts up the importance of infant and early childhood mental health—from pregnancy through the first years of life—and the many roles that make it possible. This campaign recognizes organizations amplifying IECMH across all scopes of practice: health care and public health, child care and early education, home visiting and early intervention, mental health, social services, libraries, philanthropy, higher education, and more.
We feature organizations that share messages, host or co-host activities, highlight resources for families, lift up staff stories, or otherwise help the public understand why early relationships matter. Being listed here does not require registration—it’s simply a public thank-you to those already championing this week with us, or who aspire to join in the future. If you’re aligned with this purpose, you belong here.
Ways Partners Typically Engage
Celebrate Babies Week offers partners a powerful platform to amplify their mission while championing infants, young children, and families. Whether you’re a large statewide system, a neighborhood program, a health clinic, a school, or an advocacy organization, your voice matters.
Partners often:
Host an event – from small staff gatherings to large community celebrations.
Share stories and messages – post photos, videos, or caregiver/practitioner spotlights showing your work in action.
Run drives for essentials – diapers, books, baby supplies, or other items that meet urgent needs.
Offer direct support – open a parent warmline, host a drop-in, or connect families to local Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) resources.
Join advocacy efforts – attend Capitol Day or help share policy priorities that strengthen early relationships.
Why This Matters
When babies experience safe, responsive relationships, their brains and bodies are wired for success. But when families face barriers—poverty, isolation, untreated mental health concerns—those relationships can be harder to build.
By taking part in Celebrate Babies Week, you help to:
Spread awareness of how early experiences shape lifelong outcomes.
Show families that support is available in their own community.
Influence systems and policies to better serve young children and caregivers.
Build a visible, united movement that says Michigan invests in babies, families, and relationships.
When organizations engage, they raise awareness of the importance of early experiences and spotlight their own mission and impact. Every action—big or small—moves the needle for babies and families statewide.
Additions & Updates
We know we won’t capture everyone right away. If your organization is missing—or you want to update how you’re celebrating—email jzieldorff@mi-aimh.org and we’ll add you. (Prefer not to be listed? Let us know and we’ll remove you.)
